- His Honorable Dr. RADI AL-TARAWNEH, Secretary-General, representing The Ministry of Agriculture.
The Commission's seventh meeting for 2008 took place on 28 October 2008, at The city hall building. Meeting has discussed the subject matters of meeting No. (6) Which took place on 18 October 2008. Members verified the minutes of the above-mentioned meeting.
Then the commission reviewed the listed subjects in the agenda, it resolved the following:
41. The Commission reviewed a brief of central market department activities during August and September 2008 and acknowledged its contents.
42. The Commission reviewed the memorandum of the Central Market Director in relation to the Letter of His Excellency Prime Ministers No. (15975/1/12/64) dated 26/8/2008, and the letter of His Excellency the Minister of Industry and Trade No. (32005/16/7/9) dated 18/9/2008, and many other sent letters from many bodies, that attached with Complaints from a number of polystyrene containers factories owners, which they request to review the decisions of the Management Committee of Central Market Nos. (29 + 31) during its sixth session held on 18/8/2008, that containing: prevent entry potatoes and citrus (local and imported) to the central market except by carton or plastic containers or sacks.
And by discussion: The Commission decided to keep prevent entry potatoes (local and imported) to the central market except by carton or plastic containers or sacks, and postponement the prevent of entry citrus except by carton or plastic containers or sacks to 31/12/2008, write to His Excellency Prime Minister and Factories owners thereby and announce that discussion in the local newspapers.
43. The Commission reviewed the memorandum of Director's Central Market in relation to the Letter of His Excellency Minister of Agriculture No. (22374/4/1) dated 20/10/2008, and the Letter of Messrs/ General Federation of Jordanian farmers No. (443/6/1/9) dated 08/10/2008, and the Letter of Messrs/ The Syndicate of Fruits and Vegetables Traders and Exporters No. (2008/H/155) dated 08/10/2008, and the Letter of Messrs/the municipality of Ma'di AlJadidah No. (General /3013) dated 06/10/2008, and the presented complaints from number of tenants of the shops inside the market, that they requested to review the decision of the Management Committee of the market No. (A/28) during its sixth session held on 18/8/2008, that containing the approval to stopping the second auction (Ten O'clock Market) during the holy Ramadan provided that would make an assessment of the experience and presentation of findings on the Management Committee of the market, Where the Committee listened to the evaluation that presented by the director of the market about cancellation of the second auction (Ten O'clock Market).
And by discussion the positives of cancellation, the Committee decided unanimously to continue cancel the second auction (Ten O'clock Market) and satisfaction of one auction only.
44. The Commission reviewed the memorandum of Central Market Director in relation to: about the decision of the Management Committee of the market (No. 30), that containing the forming a technical committee to study the tender offers to lease the new banana sweat rooms inside the Central Market and its count is (5) (the auction No. the market /2/2008) and after informing the Committee on the report of the Committee Technical in this respect.
The Commission decided to approve the suggestion of the formed technical committee by referring the auction to Messrs/ Karm Ala'alaly company for agricultural products and marketing, with the following prices that offered by them :
1. Rent (40) dinars per square meter per year.
2. Goodwill (40) dinars per square meter.
45. The Commission reviewed the memorandum of Central Market Director, which refers in it to the letter of Messrs/ The economic and social institution of the retired soldiers and veterans No. (2842/7/5) dated 10/8/2008, that they requested to approve to strike off the due amounts resulting from the rental shop No. (20/B) of the internal Central Market shops. where The Commission listened to the summary of detail and that presented by the Director of Central Market on the due amounts of the institution as follows:
1. Due amount of (12.599,70) Twelve thousand five hundred ninety nine Dinars and (700) fils as fees.
2. Due amount of (8.600) Eight thousand six hundred Dinars as fees (returned Checks by banks by the reason of checks without provision).
3. Due amount of (2000) Two thousand dinars as the rental shop No. (20/B) due to 2008 year.
And by discussion: The Commission decided to approve the following:
1. Refuse the request that presented by the topic institution.
2. Revoke the rent contract of the shop No. (20/B) that rented to the topic institution.
3. Collect the due amounts of the institution that shown above by the legal ways.
46. The Commission reviewed the memorandum of Central Market Director in relation to application that presented by Mr./ Maher Mutlaq Hamed Jaber. That requested to approve to grant him a financial compensation, instead of the damage of his sweat room (sweat room No.16B) by the reason of export space in return for relinquishment of his suit against the Municipality and relinquishment of the sweat room (No.16B) to the Municipality.
And by discussion: The Commission decided to approve the following:
1. Payment a financial compensation in amount of (15000) fifteen thousand dinars in return for relinquishment the sweat room (No.16B) to the Municipality of Amman.
2. Relinquishment of his suit against the Municipality of Amman.
3. Payment the due amount on him that reached to (8.888.175) eight thousand eight hundred and eighty eight dinars 175 fils, to the Municipality of Amman.
47. The Commission reviewed the memorandum of Central Market Director in relation to application that presented by Mr./ Omar Mohammad Haymour. That requested to approve to leasing him the land inside the central market that opposite the newly built shops for the purpose of build new commercial shops at his expense and with rent that decided by the Commission.
And by discussion: The Commission decided to charging the Director's Central Market to present a study of extension the market of new buildings.
48. The Commission reviewed the memorandum of Director's Central Market in relation to application that presented by Messrs/The Central Markets Services Co. dated 27/08/2008 that they requested the following:
1. Reviewed the amount of obligation on the Central Markets Services Co. to doing loading and unloading goods service inside the central market.
2. Crystallization the tender to accomplished fact by limitation the porterage inside the central market with the company employees.
And by discussion: The Commission decided to making loading and unloading goods service auction inside the central market with sealed envelope from the beginning of 2009 year
49. The Commission reviewed the memorandum of Central Market Director in relation to letter of Messrs/ Jordanian Charity Organization for Relief and Development and the Arab and Islamic cooperation No. (744/T/H) dated 08/10/2008, That requested to approve to grant him shops for sale vegetables in the central market.
And by discussion: The Commission decided to refuse this request.
